Shaquil Barrett is going to need everybody in his life to help him through his recent tragedy.
The linebacker’s 2-year-old daughter, Arrayah, tragically drowned in a family pool on Sunday morning. According to a report from the Tampa Bay Times, officers were called to Barrett’s home shortly before 9:30 a.m. after his daughter, Arrayah, fell into the pool. The child was taken to the hospital, but efforts to save her fell flat and she was pronounced deceased.
Soon after the news was released, the Tampa Bay Bucs would release a statement:
“Today’s tragic news is heartbreaking for all members of the Buccaneers family,” the Buccaneers said. “Our thoughts are prayers are with Shaq, Jordanne, and the entire Barrett family during this unimaginably difficult time.
“While no words can provide true comfort at a time such as this, we offer our support and love as they begin to process this very profound loss of their beloved Arrayah.”
The Tampa Bay Times went on to state that local police are in the process of conducting an investigation. The situation is believed to be a tragic accident and isn’t considered suspicious by offers.
In the meantime, fans have taken to social media to offer their prayers.

In his fifth season with the Buccaneers, Barrett. After tearing his Achilles in a loss to the Baltimore Ravens in Week 8, he concluded the 2022–23 season with 31 tackles, six tackles for loss, three sacks, and a forced fumble.
The native of Baltimore agreed to a free-agent contract with Tampa Bay in 2019. He was nominated to the second team of the All-Pro that year after leading the league with 19.5 sacks. After starting his career with the Denver Broncos, Barrett won a Super Bowl. He then won another championship with the Buccaneers.
