Free agent linebacker Shaquille Leonard was expected to decide his future team by Monday and that is exactly what he did.
Leonard was said to be deciding between joining the Dallas Cowboys or the Philadelphia Eagles. The 28-year-old decided to take his talents to the Eagles.
Leonard previously spent the first six years of his career with the Indianapolis Colts, making three Pro Bowl appearances. He was waived by the Colts last month after starting in nine games this season.
In his nine appearances this season, Leonard recorded 65 total tackles and two tackles for loss.
The Eagles are fresh off an embarrassing loss at the hands of the San Francisco 49ers at Lincoln Financial Field.
Leonard had struggled to return to his All-Pro form following a 2022 campaign that saw him miss time due to back and concussion problems. He eventually underwent two surgeries to repair a nerve issue in his back.
