Bills defensive end Shaq Lawson let his emotions get the better of him after an overtime loss in Philadelphia.
Following that 37-34 overtime defeat, an altercation was caught on camera between a collection of Buffalo players and a heckling Eagles fan. Defensive tackle Jordan Phillips can be seen walking to the fan while he’s jawing with a particular Eagles fan. Lawson then came into that altercation from Phillips’ right and appeared to shove the fan.
The Buffalo Bills are fining defensive end Shaq Lawson for his actions on November 26, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.
Bills general manager Brandon Beane said this week that the NFL’s investigation of Lawson was “probably going to be open here for a little bit,” per the Buffalo News’ Ryan O’Halloran and Katherine Fitzgerald.
Pelissero said the fine meant the incident “is now resolved.”

The Buffalo News’ Jay Skurski confirmed Pelissero’s report by stating Lawson would not be suspended following the team’s fine.
Lawson said Monday in a private post to his Instagram the incident was sparked by the fan “making life-threatening remarks towards us and our families.”
“We asked Philadelphia security to remove the fan, but he was allowed to stay for the entire game,” Lawson said. “Eventually, our emotions boiled over, and I made a mistake. For that, I apologize, but there are certain lines that should not be crossed.”
Lawson did not record a tackle in Sunday’s loss, with which the Bills fell to 6-6 on the season.
Heading into the Bills’ Week 13 bye, the defensive end has 10 combined tackles, four quarterback hits, and a sack through 11 games.
The Bills have a tough task on their hands as they travel to Arrowhead Stadium to face the Kansas City Chiefs.
