Jerry Jones has made his interest in signing Odell Beckham Jr. to the Cowboys crystal clear, but not everybody thinks that signing will happen.
The Dallas Cowboys have not played a game since the day before Halloween but have managed to stay in the news over the fre agent WR and his possible signing.
On “Undisputed,” Shannon Sharpe gave a confident prediction that the Cowboys have “10%” chance of signing Beckham. He added that there will be a “bidding war” to land Beckham that will force the team to fall back.
“If the reports are true, that there’s going to be a bidding war…for me, I don’t see Jerry [Jones] getting into a bidding war,” Sharpe said.
Beckham told Complex in a video tweeted Sunday that when he signs with his next team, he’d like it to be a multiyear situation. The Cowboys were one of the four teams he mentioned. The Cowboys were in discussions with the Houston Texans leading into last week’s trade deadline for wide receiver Brandin Cooks, but nothing came out of it. This would be a nice pickup if the team can get this deal done.
In eight games against the Cowboys with the New York Giants and Cleveland Browns, Beckham has 40 catches for 558 yards and seven touchdowns.
