Shannon Sharpe had some criticism for Travis Kelce in the aftermath of the Chiefs’ shocking loss to the Broncos on Sunday as he suggested that the star tight end did his team foul by attending a World Series game in Texas last Friday.
The Chiefs failed to go to 7-1 as expected, and Patrick Mahomes was unable to throw a single touchdown pass, with the quarterback reported to have been under the weather prior to the game.
Speaking on his ‘Nightcap’ podcast, Sharpe said that Travis’ appearance at the game was an “awful” and “terrible” look for the TE.
“We know the only receiver [Patrick Mahomes] can consistently count on is Travis Kelce, and he didn’t have his best day. And I’m kind of disappointed because, Friday night he was at the Rangers game,” he said.
His co-host, Chad Johnson asked what the problem was with Kelce attending a game on Friday.
“It’s the middle of the season!” Sharpe exclaimed.

“It was in Texas. He lives in Kansas City,” the Hall of Famer continued. “It’s an awful look. It’s a terrible look.”
Kelce recorded six catches for 58 yards on Sunday. The loss marked the Chiefs first to Denver in their last 17 meetings.
Mahomes was reported to have been planning to attend the Rangers game too. But it appears Sharpe was not aware of that.
