Shannon Sharpe got totally honest when discussing a heated argument he had with Skip Bayless during an episode of FS1’s “Undisputed” last year.
Sharpe and Bayless engaged in a tense conversation while discussing the San Francisco 49ers’ Week 14 blowout win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Sharpe was being critical of Bucs’ QB Tom Brady, which led to Bayless accusing the Hall of Fame tight end of being “jealous.”
Bayless told Sharpe that he was merely jealous of Brady for playing at age 45 while Sharpe himself “had to stop at 35.” Sharpe defended himself and reminded Bayless that he’s a Hall of Famer with three Super Bowl rings.
Sharpe discussed the incident with ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith on the latter’s show. There, Sharpe talked about feeling disrespect and admitted that it took a lot of strength for him to not put his hands on the controversial sports analyst.
“It took a lot for me not to put my hands on him, it actually did,” Sharpe said.

Bayless left ESPN for FS1 in 2016 to co-host “Undisputed” alongside Sharpe. The two worked together for just under seven years before the Hall of Famer left the show in June.
