On the sidelines at Crypto.com Arena last month, Shannon Sharpe could be seen getting into a verbal altercation with the entire Memphis Grizzlies team. The main players were Ja Morant, Dillon Brooks, and Steven Adams.
Sharpe and Brooks had been exchanging words through much of the first half, which was about Brooks guarding LeBron James.
After the incident, Sharpe spoke to ESPN reporter Dave McMenamin, telling him, “They didn’t want this smoke, Dave. They do all that talking and jockeying and I ain’t about that jockeying. It started with Dillon Brooks. I said he was too small to guard LeBron. He said, ‘F…’ me. I said, ‘F—-’ you back. He started to come at me and I said, ‘You don’t want these problems.” And then Ja came out of nowhere talking. He definitely didn’t want these problems. Then the dad came and he obviously didn’t want no problems. But I wanted anything they had. Don’t let these fools fool you now.”
Fast forward to this month and somebody has created Sharpe with the outfit he had on and put him in a WWE match with Brooks.
The Memphis Grizzlies are the hot, young, and hungry upstarts who are confident they can beat anybody they match up with. However, Shapre clearly got the better of Brooks in the digital world.
Sharpe has since apologized for his behavior while the Grizzlies went on to play very badly over the next week or so. They have since rebounded to have the second-best record in the Western Conference.
