Gunshots reportedly rang out in downtown Philadelphia after Sunday’s NFC Championship Game.
The Eagles are NFC Champions for the second time in the last three years and are Super Bowl-bound after beating the Washington Commanders 55-23.
The city is on cloud nine at the moment and will be for the next two weeks, possibly longer if they go all the way. However, violence is understood to have erupted in the streets following the victory.
According to Barry Svrluga of the Washington Post, multiple gunshots were fired after he left Lincoln Financial Field. Svrluga claims to have witnessed a brawl and heard the shots himself.
“Just got out of an Uber in downtown Philly. Greeted by crowds running down the street, a brawl spilling everywhere — and then several gunshots. The Eagles won, right?” he wrote in a tweet.
