The long-awaited reveal of the Seattle Seahawks’ throwback jerseys has arrived.
After announcing the return of the ’90s-era jerseys back in 2022, the franchise unveiled the throwback uniforms Wednesday morning with this video.
The silver helmets and royal blue and apple green uniforms are simply perfect and they go perfectly with the retro logo that is on the sleeves and the neck has a thin green and white collar.
The uniforms have been a popular one among Seahawks fans for a while, with many clamoring for their return. The color scheme was the one the team used from its inception in 1976 until they eventually switched to a darker blue and neon green in 2002.

The team chose to take their time machine back to the ’90s because of the “pop culture revolution” that took place in Seattle at that time.
“Beyond the sleek reimagined design, these beloved uniforms bring back the nostalgia of the early days — from the sea of 12s in the Kingdome on gamedays who built their reputation as the loudest fans in the NFL to the legendary players who laid the foundation for the team’s future success,” the website states.
Here’s how fans are reacting to it:
The Seahawks are coming off a 9-8 campaign in 2022 that saw them lose to the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Wild Card Round. Veteran quarterback Geno Smith was named NFL Comeback Player of the Year for his outstanding performance in his first season as Seattle’s full-time starting quarterback.
It was a shocking season after no one had them do anything following the trade of Russell Wilson.
The Seahawks will open the 2023 season on Sept. 10 at home in a division matchup against the Los Angeles Rams.
