The Seattle Seahawks are signing a future Hall of Famer and nine-time Pro Bowl offensive lineman to their roster.
Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the 41-year-old Peters is being signed from Seattle’s practice squad to their active roster. The Seahawks (6-3) visit the NFC West rival Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium this Sunday.
Peters joins a Seattle offensive line headlined by young studs Charles Cross and Damien Lewis. He’s unlikely to be a starter barring a string of injuries, but Peters will at least provide plenty of leadership and championship experience to a Super Bowl hopeful.
After starring at Arkansas, Peters joined the Buffalo Bills in 2004 as an undrafted free agent. Peters actually played tight end at Arkansas before the Bills decided to make him an offensive lineman.
Fast forward 19 years later, and Peters has pieced together an improbable Hall of Fame-like career: Nine Pro Bowl nods, three First-team and four Second-team All-Pro selections, a spot on the NFL’s 2010s All-Decade team and of course a Super Bowl 52 championship ring.
Peters turns 42 years of age in January, a testament to his incredible longevity and consistency.

Peters played for the Bills from 2004 to 2008 before getting traded to Philadelphia, where he played from 2009 to 2020. Peters has also played for the Chicago Bears (2021) and Dallas Cowboys (2022).
The Seahawks enter Week 11 tied with the San Francisco 49ers for first in the NFC West. The two rivals will meet each other next Thursday night in the third Thanksgiving game.
