Sean Payton really thinks highly of Taysom Hill.
The do-it-all QB does more on offense for the Saints probably more than any other player in the entire league, with him playing on special teams, throwing a block downfield, catching a touchdown pass and throwing an occasional deep ball.
Despite him throwing a minimal amount of passes in his career, head coach Sean Payton recently compared the versatile gunslinger to a Hall of Famer in Steve Young.
That’s a huge comparison for a guy who has never started a game at QB and has completed just six passes in his career for a total of 119 yards.
The only similarity between the two is that both quarterbacks are from BYU and both waited awhile before getting their chance to play QB. Hill is currently 29-years-old.
Young didn’t become a starter for the San Francisco 49ers until he was 30 years old.

It will be extremely tough for Hill to live up to those Steve Young expectations, but he has all the confidence from his head coach.
