New Denver Broncos head coach Sean Payton has addressed the claims stating he dislikes Kyler Murray.
Earlier this week, Payton’s former FOX colleague Terry Bradshaw suggested that Payton did not take the Arizona Cardinals job because he didn’t want to coach the quarterback.
Speaking to Kay Adams on Thursday, Payton insisted that isn’t the case, claiming he actually likes Murray, who he thinks is “very talented.”
“I like Kyler Murray,” the head coach said. “My son is his biggest fan.
“I think they have the same challenges there that we have in Denver. They are very similar challenges. Culture in the building has to be better. It just does.”
As for Bradshaw, Payton theorized that the veteran sportscaster didn’t want him to leave FOX, hence no team was “good enough in his eyes for me.”

The Super Bowl-winning coach revealed having spoken to Bradshaw after the comments and thanked him for waiting until after his introductory press conference to say what he said.
“When Terry gets interviewed, you hold your breath, because you don’t know what’s going to come out,” he joked.
