It was not a good day for Denver Broncos on Sunday.
Late in the game, the Denver Broncos had a chance to either take the lead or tie it, but a sack would end all hopes as Russell Wilson had the ball knocked out of his hands for a fumble.
Linebacker Quincy Williams knocked the ball out of Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson’s hand on a sack with less than a minute to play and cornerback Bryce Hall scooped it up for a 39-yard touchdown. The play put the finishing touches on a 31-21 win that lifted the Jets to 2-3 on the season.
As Wilson made his way to the sideline, Sean Payton could be seen laying into Wilson.
Russell Wilson was 20-of-31 for 196 yards and he was sacked four times over the course of the game.
Denver fell to 1-4 in a year where they had high hopes of being better than 2020.
