Denver Broncos head coach Sean Payton has addressed his play sheet getting exposed on Amazon Prime while his team was losing to the Kansas City Chiefs last week.
Fans got a clear view of Payton’s tactics during the Thursday Night Football stream as cameras got in pretty close. But the new HC insists he isn’t bothered by it as other teams have access to game tape anyway.
“I saw it,” Payton said during his press conference on Wednesday. “I don’t worry about it. When everyone sent that to me, it was like, this game is so spontaneous and fast. The language teams can look at — everything is on tape.”
He added that there’s very little another team could use to their advantage if they have access to his sheet.
“There are a ton of things we change,” he remarked. “Each night we got a new — not audible, but a term we use that we might [change]. Trying to give a defensive player [a heads up], that guy is going to look at you like you’re nuts. … I don’t think much of it, but I saw it.”
Payton has more important things to worry about following his team’s 1-5 start to the season. The Broncos have allowed an average of 33.3 yards a game so far this term and have a lot of work to do defensively.
