Following over a week of rife speculation regarding his future, Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay has reportedly informed the team of his intentions.
According to Dianna Russini of ESPN, the 36-year-old has told the Rams he is not going anywhere and will remain in said post as the team heads into 2023/24.
McVay was in a similar position after leading the Rams to a Super Bowl victory over the Cincinnati Bengals last year. Both he and Aaron Donald considered their futures and ultimately decided to stay.
This time around, the situation was vastly different as Los Angeles failed to even make the playoffs. It was also reported that McVay was not pleased with the direction the Rams were heading in and was not interested in sticking around for a rebuild.
It appears the organization can rest easy now, though it’s reported that they already had someone in line to replace the coach had he decided to sever ties.
