After Colin Kaepernick released a workout video showing that he’s still in shape and awaiting an offer to return to the NFL, the first team that seemed to dominate the rumor mill was the Seattle Seahawks.
NFL fans were sent into a frenzy when it was reported that the Seahawks were actually showing interested in Kaepernick. The team does have a void to fill at the position after trading away Russell Wilson, after all.
Now it appears as though we have another development in the Kaepernick-to-Seattle situation, as one of the Seahawks’ top wideouts has volunteered to step in and catch passes from Kap.
On Sunday, the former Seattle Seahawks wideout took to Twitter to talk about how he misses throwing passes to “professional route runners.” And his call was answered, as one of the league’s best, Tyler Lockett, offered to help the exiled quarterback out.
Lockett catching passes from Kaepernick? Could this be a sign of things to come? Does Kap have a shot at becoming the Seahawks’ next quarterback? Only time will tell.
