The Seattle Seahawks might lose a big-time player on defense if they even think about parting ways with D.K. Metcalf.
With trade rumors circulating around Pro Bowl wideout DK Metcalf, one Seahawks player is threatening to leave the team if they go through with it.
“Stop it..” Seahawks safety Quandre Diggs said in response to Matthew Judon tweeting about the rumors. Adding, “If he gone I’m gone.”
Seahawks coach Pete Carroll is using the same language about a possible split with Metcalf that he used with Russell Wilson, reiterating that, “We intend for him to be with us. We’d love to figure that out,” to the Seattle Times’ Bob Condotta.
Carroll also alluded to a future extension for Metcalf, who caught 216 passes for 3,170 yards and 29 touchdowns during his first three seasons in Seattle.
Diggs signed a three-year deal worth up to $39 million to remain with the Seahawks.

Diggs is coming off his best season with a career-high 94 tackles and tied his career high with five interceptions. He has 13 interceptions in 38 regular-season games since being acquired from Detroit midway through the 2019 season.
He unfortunately suffered a dislocated ankle and broken fibula in the closing minutes of the season finale in Arizona that required surgery. He’s expected to be cleared for activity well before the start of training camp this summer.
