You can add Seattle Seahawks’ associate head coach Carl Smith to the long list of NFL players/coaches who consider themselves a Swiftie.
12-time Grammy Award winner Taylor Swift has dominated NFL headlines over the past few weeks. It was all but confirmed last week that she is indeed dating Kansas City Chiefs’ superstar tight end Travis Kelce, having attended the club’s Week 4 home game against the Chicago Bears.
As it turns out, Smith himself is also (presumably) a big Swift fan. ESPN’s Jordan Raanan posted a video of Smith wearing a Swift shirt at MetLife Stadium ahead of the Seahawks’ Week 4 Monday night game against the New York Giants.
Swift watched the Chiefs-Bears game in an Arrowhead Stadium suite alongside Travis’ mother, Donna Kelce. The two were seen leaving the game afterwards, and they’ve been spotted in public several times since.
Swift was also one of the many big-named celebrities in attendance for the Chiefs’ Week 4 road game against the New York Jets on Sunday night, also at MetLife Stadium.
The 75-year-old Smith began his NFL coaching career back in 1986, serving as the New Orleans Saints’ offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for 11 years. He joined Pete Carroll’s coaching staff in Seattle, serving as a quarterbacks coach until 2017.
