Scott Van Pelt will be out tonight. The longtime ESPN host will not be on the broadcast as part of the Monday Night Countdown pregame show or SportsCenter.
In a post on X, Van Pelt revealed that he has no voice, which is sort of important for a person who speaks for a living. As a result, he will take this week off.
“So we played another fun edition of will Scott’s voice quit before the show ends last night,” Van Pelt wrote. “Unfortunately, I woke up to zero voice at all. Just gone. As a result, no trip to Vegas for Monday Night Countdown or SportsCenter.”
Replacing Van Pelt tonight will be Joe Buck and Michelle Beisner-Buck.
Van Pelt added Robert Griffin III, Marcus Spears, Ryan Clark, and Larry Fitzgerald are also expected to make appearances.
Monday night will feature the Green Bay Packers and the Las Vegas Raiders as WR Davante Adams faces his team for the first time since he was traded. The Packers are 2-2 on the year while the Raiders are 1-4.
