Jets star defensive back Sauce Gardner’s infamous moment when he did not recognize actress Jessica Alba continues to live on.
Just weeks after Aaron Rodgers teased him for not knowing who Jessica Alba is, New York Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner was given a pair of cleats with the actress’ picture.
According to TMZ Sports, artist Mike Jordan delivered the cleats to Gardner after an amusing incident occurred during Game 2 of the Eastern Conference semifinals between the Miami Heat and the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden.
“I wanted to do something fun,” Jordan told TMZ. “I hope Jessica likes them, too.”
The pair of Jets stars crossed paths with Alba during the game on May 2nd, but Gardner was unaware that he had interacted with a well-known actress.
Rodgers poked fun at Gardner for his lack of awareness of Alba.

After the Knicks-Heat playoff game, Gardner told reporters that Rodgers had been teasing him about his knowledge of the celebrities who were attending the game at Madison Square Garden.
“When we were getting seated, [Rodgers] was just picking on me a little bit for being young,” Gardner said at a press conference earlier this month.
“We were getting seated, and he was like, ‘We’re about to sit by . . . what’s her name?’ ‘We’re about to sit by Jessica Alba,’ and I’m just like ‘Oh, I don’t know who that is.’ And he just looked at me, he looked at me like I’m crazy.”
Gardner did clarify on Twitter he’s seen some of Alba’s movies before, but he didn’t check Google to see what her real name is.
To be fair, Gardner is only 22, and Alba’s on-screen days are not as prominent as they once were.
Gardner and Alba presumably had a good time at the game. The Knicks earned a 111-105 victory over the Heat, though they would eventually go on to lose the series in six games.
