Sauce Gardner is trying to do all he can to get an actual QB on his team for next season. The Jets All-Pro cornerback is having his fair share of fun as the team’s rumored interest in trading for Aaron Rodgers continues to swirl.
Gardner jumped on his personal Twitter account on Friday afternoon to continue to stir the pot.
“Aye Aaron Rodgers? [Nevermind] forgot what I was about to say,” Gardner tweeted.
The tweet started to go viral, but he would soon delete it.
He would soon try to calm down internet by down by later clarifying that he was simply joking around.
“I was trolling y’all,” Gardner said. “Relax.”

If the Packers decide to move on from Rodgers, a trade to the Jets would make some sense, especially after the team made it clear that they would not deal him to any team in the NFC.
New York hired former Broncos head coach Nathaniel Hackett last week to become the team’s new offensive coordinator and they already have a long history together from their time in Green Bay.
Hackett was Green Bay’s offensive coordinator under Matt LaFleur when Rodgers put up back-to-back MVP seasons.
A Rodgers-Hackett reunion could be in store this offseason. The veteran QB has mum about his intentions for next season, so he could either be traded, play another year in Green Bay, or retire from the league.
