The surprising New York Jets enjoyed their 27-10 win over the Green Bay Packers so much that rookie cornerback Sauce Gardner wore a cheesehead and strutted off the field and to the tunnel.
The rookie has the cheesehead he rocked after this past weekend’s win over the Packers and his NFL Rookie of the Week Award safely displayed in his bedroom. Check out a shot of Gardner playing video games with the two now-famous items next to him.
The Jets won their third straight and improved to 4-2 for the first time since 2015, winning in convincing fashion for the second week in a row. The Jets were led by rookie running back Breece Hall, who rushed for 116 yards and a touchdown.
Gardner finished the night with three tackles. He has proven to be worth the fourth overall pick, helping the Jets to a 4-2 record.
Gardner has 23 tackles, one interception, and eight pass breakups (t-third in NFL) across six games this season.
Sauce Island is quickly starting to become a thing.
