What a return for Saquon Barkley.
The superstar running back played a monster role in the New York Giants’ 21-20 victory over the Tennessee Titans in Sunday’s season opener at Nissan Stadium.
Barkley rushed for 164 yards and one touchdown on 18 carries. He also caught six passes for 30 yards, and converted a critical two-point conversion late in the fourth quarter.
Following the game, Barkley’s longtime girlfriend, Anna Congdon, took to her Instagram Story to highlight his monster day.

The Giants selected Barkley second overall in the 2018 NFL draft out of Penn State. That year, he rushed for 1,307 yards and 11 touchdowns, in addition to catching 91 passes for 721 yards and four scores.
He went on to be named Offensive Rookie of the Year and earned a Pro Bowl nod.
His last two seasons in the NFL haven’t been as successful, however. After missing all but two games in 2020, Barkley was able to suit up for 13 contests in 2021. But he weas ineffective for the most part, totaling just 593 rushing yards and two touchdowns on the ground.
Many have questioned whether he can still be an elite running back in the NFL. Based on his week one performance, it appears as though Barkley is on a mission to prove that he’s still got it in his age-25 season.
