It is now Saquon Barkley’s turn to make a pitch to Odell Beckham Jr.
Over the past few days, Von Miller, Micah Parsons, Ezekiel Elliott, and even Jerry Jones have been trying to sway the dynamic WR to join their squad.
This time around, Barkley is highlighting why Odell needs to come back home for a reunion after the team traded him to the Cleveland Browns years ago.
“It’s New York. It’s the Giants,” Barkley said. “He has familiar faces within this facility and within this locker room. Personally I think it would be a great story to come back to the place where you were at before and continue to help build success and continue to come here with the right mindset and be a leader and be the type of player he can be for this team.”
While on the Giants, Beckham was on a Hall of Fame track during his five seasons before the off-field distractions that came along with his brand became more than the Giants were willing to tolerate.
“Whatever decision he makes, it’s deeper than football,” Barkley said. “I just want the best for him. I could see him in any jersey. Obviously I would love to see him back in the New York Giants’, but that’s up to him. I just hope for a healthy rehab, and when he comes back, show the world that he’s still Odell.”
The ninth-year wide receiver is on the market after helping the Los Angeles Rams to a Super Bowl last year. Before tearing his ACL in the Super Bowl, Beckham was critical in the Rams offense due to his ability to create separation and win in one on one situations.

Barkley is heading into Sunday’s game at MetLife Stadium against the Houston Texans as the NFL’s third-leading rusher this season with 779 yards. The Texans not only have a bad record, they are last in the league in run defense, allowing an average of 180.6 yards.
Barkley might be n tap to having a career day if everything pans out the way it should. The run game has been the go-to weapon for the Giants, who are averaging 161.5 yards.
If the team handles business, the Giants should improve to 6-2 and improve their playoff hopes coming out of their bye week.
