It’s not often you see two teams in the same division engage in a big trade, mainly because one team does not want to see a former player for many years to come.
The 2023 season is going pretty much just fine for the Dallas Cowboys as they will certainly be one of the top teams at the end of the regular season. The Giants, however, wanted to build on their playoff appearance and win last year but things have gone awry for them in 2023.
One NFL analyst has suggested a massive trade ahead of next week’s deadline.
Fox Sports 1’s Nick Wright said on the latest episode of First Things First that the Dallas Cowboys should trade for Giants star running back Saquon Barkley.
“If I were Dallas, I would try to make a dramatic move. I would call up the Giants about Saquon,” Wright said.
The Giants would never pull off that move to their most hated rival.

Saquon Barkley doesn’t want to leave the Giants, and the Giants have assured the running back he’ll stay put.
Coach Brian Daboll told reporters Wednesday that Barkley won’t be dealt: “That’s not happening.”
Daboll added that he specifically informed Barkley of the team’s plans to keep him last week amid so much speculation that the former Pro Bowler could be shopped ahead of the Oct. 31 deadline.
The former first-round draft pick notably failed to strike a long-term contract with the Giants this offseason. He agreed to a reworked one-year deal in July. He’s set to become a free agent for a second straight offseason after the 2023 campaign.
