New York Giants rookie quarterback Daniel Jones has yet to even step on a football field and he has been booed, criticized, and basically trashed, ever since the Giants selected him in the top-10 of the 2019 Draft.
Saquon Barkley is not going to be one of those people to pile on him.
The New York Giants running back had a message for anyone doubting Jones right now and also made a shocking claim to how many Super Bowls he’s going to win the future.
“Daniel Jones had himself a day yesterday in practice,” Barkley told reporters. “Everyone thinks he’s a terrible pick, but wait until he wins two Super Bowls and see what they’re saying then.”
“He’s really in the perfect position,” Barkley said. “You get to come to New York. You get to learn behind Eli Manning, a two-time Super Bowl MVP, a quarterback who does everything right, and is a leader and captain. When his opportunity comes, he just has to be ready for it.”
Jones isn’t expected to start at all during the 2019 season, but things could change if Eli Manning is playing terribly out on the field.
