One day after trading for Bengals running back Joe Mixon for a conditional seventh-round pick, the team was back at it on Wednesday.
The San Francisco 49ers have bolstered their defensive line with another addition as ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Houston Texans are trading Maliek Collins to the 49ers.

Schefter adds that San Francisco acquires the defensive player in exchange for a seventh-round draft pick.

The 49ers are expected to release Arik Armstead at the start of the league year and he could very well make his way to Houston.
Collins spent the last three seasons in Houston and started all 49 regular season and playoff games he played over that span.
Last season, Collins appeared in 16 games for the Texans and recorded 41 tackles, eight tackles for loss, five sacks, and one pass defense.
