Sam Darnold was feeling confident after leading his team to their second win of the season against the New York Giants.
The New York Jets quarterback threw for 230 yards and collected two scores (one passing touchdown and one rushing) in Sunday’s 34-27 victory and it had him thinking about big things after the game.
Following the win, Darnold told reporters that the team still had a shot at the playoffs if they win out.
No, seriously.
This is the same team that lost to the previous 0-7 Miami Dolphins just last week.
Even though his proclamation is outlandish and won’t happen, the Jets aren’t mathematically eliminated from the postseason….YET. Basically meaning, it’s just a matter of time before it happens.
