Sam Darnold and the New York Jets found a new way to lose on Sunday when the team got beat on a deep pass in the final seconds and fell to the Las Vegas Raiders 31-28.
Defensive coordinator Gregg Williams dialed up an all-out blitz as Derek carr went deep to Henry Ruggs III for the 46-yard touchdown.
After the game, reporters asked what Darnold’s thoughts were on the all-out blitz call as he sat on the sidelines.
“It is what it is,” he replied, courtesy of Connor Hughes of The Athletic.
Marcus Maye wasn’t too fond of Gregg Williams’ final play call.
Maye took exception with his defensive coordinator’s decision to send an all-out blitz on a crucial 3rd and 10.

“I thought we could have been in a better call at that stage of the game,” Maye said, per NorthJersey’s Andy Vasquez.
Maye added that Lamar Jackson shouldn’t have been in that situation.
