Matt Rhule made sure to send a huge message to his players that big hits and over-aggressiveness will not be allowed during their Saturday night practice at Gibbs Stadium. One player found out the hard way what happens when you go against the coach.
Safety J.T. Ibe was ejected from today’s training camp practice for hitting wide receiver Keith Kirkwood while he was still in the air. Ibe was not only thrown out but cut from the roster for the hit that sent his teammate to the hospital.

After he went down, players and coaches gathered around Kirkwood, who was on the ground for more than 10 minutes. Team medical staff then put him on a backboard and carted him off to an ambulance.
Kirkwood was forced to miss most of last season due to two collarbone breaks. He appeared in one game and made one catch for 13 yards.
