Coming into the game, Ty Montgomery had 3 catches for eleven yards.
The Saints entered the contest already shorthanded at the running back position. Not only is Alvin Kamara out with a knee injury, but they’re also without Tony Jones Jr., who’s on I.R. after starting the year as Kamara’s backup. Mark Ingram entered week 10 as the Saints’ lead back, while Montgomery was expected to take some snaps in the backfield as well.
