Drew Brees seem to be ahead of schedule.
The New Orleans Saints have been without their starting QB since Week 2 when he suffered a significant thumb injury on his throwing hand after colliding with Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald.
Since then, Brees had surgery on the right thumb and was given a 6-8 week timeline for a potential return. He’s thinking about a return much sooner than that.
On Saturday afternoon, Brees posted a video to his Instagram account where he can be seen throwing a football and it made fans go nuts with his progress.
That is just under three weeks since his injury and he looks way ahead of schedule.
Despite their future hall of famer going with an injury, the Saints were able to defeat the Seattle Seahawks and Dallas Cowboys to put them at 4-1 and sitting pretty in the NFC.
