It’s been a frustrating year for Derek Carr in his first year with the New Orleans Saints, but it hasn’t stopped him from rewarding his teammates with some thoughtful Christmas gifts.
Per Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football, Carr awarded his teammates with some generous Christmas gifts. Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed were given Rolexes, and Michael Thomas will be getting one when Car sees him next.
The other wide receivers received diamond chains, and Carr gave his offensive linemen grills filled with steaks:
Carr joined the Saints on a four-year deal worth $160 million in the offseason. The four-time Pro Bowler has battled consistency issues all season long, with just 2,880 passing yards and 13 touchdowns against seven interceptions.
Despite Carr’s struggles, New Orleans remains in a three-way with the Atlanta Falcons and Tampa Bay Buccaneers for tops in the NFC South. All three clubs are 6-7 with just four weeks to go.
