New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas took a shot at the NFL medical staff in a since-deleted tweet.
Responding to news that former NFL safety Chris Maragos won a $43.5 million lawsuit over a case on his knee injury, Thomas stated that the league medical staff “sucks. He added that they’re “cheap” and “uneducated” and claimed that they don’t require much “education or curriculum”.

The 2019 Offensive Player of the Year was on a Hall of Fame trajectory three years ago, but injuries have unfortunately derailed his career since 2020. He missed nine regular season games in 2020 because of an ankle injury which wound up sidelining him for the entire 2021 season as well.
Thomas had two touchdowns in a thrilling comeback win over the Atlanta Falcons in Week 1 of this past season, but the injury bug struck once again and kept him on the sidelines for the final 14 regular season games.
Thomas and the Saints agreed to a restructured contract, but it remains to be seen if the organization will actually keep him around or release the former superstar to free agency.
