Sports fans are saying the same thing about Sage Steele following her departure from ESPN as they reckon they know where she will end up next.
Steele announced her departure from the network on Tuesday, revealing having reached a settlement and opting to leave in order to experience more freedom in expressing her rights.
“Having successfully settled my case with ESPN/Disney, I have decided to leave so I can exercise my first amendment rights more freely,” she wrote on Twitter. “I am grateful for so many wonderful experiences over the past 16 years and am excited for my next chapter!”
“ESPN and Sage Steele have mutually agreed to part ways,” ESPN spokesman Josh Krulewitz wrote. “We thank her for her many contributions over the years.”
Folks on social media believe she’s now set to join FOX. You could check out some of their reactions right below:

Steele had a long-running feud with ESPN after being kept off the air for 10 days in October 2021 because she criticized the company’s COVID-19 vaccination mandate. She was also taken off multiple high-profile assignments such as coverage of the New York City Marathon and the Rose Parade.
That is according to a lawsuit she filed last May.
The suit stated that the 50-year-old was also tasked with making a public apology.
ESPN “forced Steele to apologize, allowed media to destroy her, and let media reports that she had been suspended go unchallenged, and allowed Steele’s colleagues to defame her in violation of company policy without so much as a reprimand,” it reads.
The details of this week’s settlement had not been disclosed at the time of writing.
