Ryan Mallet, a former NFL quarterback, is dead at the age of just 35 following a drowning incident.
Mallett, who had been working as a high school football coach at the time of his death, was on a Florida vacation with his girlfriend Madison Carter, and was taking a swim when he went under the water before being pulled out in an unresponsive state. He was rushed to hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Mallett and Carter had just confirmed their relationship via Facebook, with the ex-QB doing so on June 1 before posting a photo of them to the platform 17 days later.
Madison has finally broken her silence on the tragedy, well at least online.
Sharing a Facebook story showing a photo of her hand on Mallett’s while thanking the persons who have shown her support, she wrote: “I want to thank everyone for the calls, texts, messages, comments, etc. Not a single one has gone unnoticed and I am slowly working on answering them. I appreciate you all more than you know.”
