Ryan Mallett’s ex-wife Tiffany Seeley has broken her silence on the former quarterback’s drowning death in Florida this Tuesday.
The former quarterback, who played for the New England Patriots, Houston Texans, and Baltimore Ravens, went under the water while swimming off the Florida Panhandle this week and was unresponsive when he was pulled out. Ryan,35, had been working as a high school coach prior to his passing.
Mallett’s ex-wife has paid tribute to him via social media, taking to Instagram to share a photo of herself and Ryan to her Story.
“Just want to say thank you to everyone who has reached out,” she wrote as the caption. “My heart breaks for everyone.”
Mallett and Seeley, an adult star, were married for around four months in 2020.

The former player was on vacation with his current girlfriend, Madison Carter, at the time of his passing, having made their relationship on social media just this month.
While it was initially reported that dangerous water conditions were responsible for the former QB’s death, suggesting he had ignored red-flag warnings, the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office has explained that was not the case.
Sheriff Eric Aden noted this week that the Destin area in which Ryan was swimming did not have riptides and there were no red flags warning visitors not to get into the water. Mallett’s death was chalked up as incidental.
