This is exactly the type of news that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and their fans could use right about now.
According to recent reports, the Bucs could be getting star center Ryan Jensen back in their lineup as early as November. It’s surprising news for many, as it was believed that Jensen was lost for the entire season when he suffered a serious knee injury during training camp.
And the news couldn’t have come at a better time, as the Buccaneers’ offensive line has struggled to protect Tom Brady in recent weeks, culminating in a harsh tongue-lashing from the GOAT during their week 6 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The Buccaneers’ losses along the offensive line have been well-documented throughout 2022. After losing left guard Ali Marpet during the offseason to retirement, and watching right guard Alex Cappa walk in free agency, the loss of Jensen left Tampa without any returning starters on the interior of their line heading into the season.
And if that wasn’t bad enough, they were without starting left tackle Donovan Smith for a couple of games this year due to injury.

Smith is back, though, and it sounds like Jensen is not far off either. In fact, footage has recently surfaced of the 31-year-old center at a Buccaneers team event, walking around without his knee brace.
Could this be what the Buccaneers needed in order to get their season back on track?
One thing’s for sure. They’re going to need to start winning games soon, or else Jensen’s return may not even matter by that point.
