Ryan Fitzpatrick seems to have no love towards Tom Brady, but that’s only because he never got that love from him in the first place.
During his recent appearance on Barstool Sports’ “Pardon My Take” podcast, the retired NFL QB made it clear he isn’t a big fan of Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Tom Brady. He went on to speak on multiple instances in which Brady rubbed him the wrong way during their matchups over the years.
Fitzpatrick alleged that Brady showed him “zero respect” and recalled a time when the star refused to shake his hands following the Buffalo Bills defeating the New England Patriots in 2011.
“Like, no handshake, no quarterback middle of the field, no ‘Where are the cameras? OK, hey, stay healthy buddy.’ Just ran straight off,” Fitzpatrick recalled. “So it bothered me so much because there was no respect there. So every time I played him after that, I was like, ‘Alright, let’s make this dude respect me.'”
Fitzpatrick said each of Brady’s five(actually four) interceptions was “just wonderful to see.”
He then recalled his Miami Dolphins defeating the Patriots in the “tank for Tua” 2018 season. Fitzpatrick said Brady shook his hand that time, but the Harvard alum believes he “probably initiated it.”
