The Dallas Cowboys are finally back in the win column after Thursday Night;s football game against the New Orleans Saints. Things did not start out well for either team as they both stumbled due to a mix of good defense and poor execution en route to the Dallas Cowboys handing the New Orleans Saints a 27-17 loss at Caesars Superdome.
Despite the Dallas Cowboys getting back on track, one ESPN analyst feels even worse about them going forward.
Ryan Clark appeared on ESPN’s Get Up on Friday and gave his opinion on what he witnessed.
“I continue to feel worse about the Cowboys every single week,” Clark said. “When you watch this team, there was so much going on that was good early on in the season. There was always a bright spot to every close game. Obviously, the only loss at the time was the Tampa Bay Buccaneers but you felt like the quarterback was playing at an MVP level.
The run game was at an elite level. The protection was exactly where it needed to be and the defense at some points was opportunistic and at other points stingy. We aren’t getting that football team anymore. This was a team I saw carrying the NFC into the Super Bowl. I no longer feel that.”
The Cowboys were winners of six straight and not only in complete control of the NFC East, but 2-straight losses gave the rest of the division some hope.

Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott was efficient, going 21 of 26 for 238 yards.
The team still has a long way to go as their run issues are far from being corrected. Tony Pollard, who finished with 71 yards, broke open a 58-yard touchdown in the second half. Ezekiel Elliott rushed 13 times for 45 yards and caught two of his three targets for three yards
Elliott refused to attribute his struggles to a knee issue he’s dealing with.
“The Saints have a good front,” Elliott said. “They do a lot of movement. They have a lot of good guys up front. So it was a little tough.”
After their break, they face the Washington Football Team and New York Giants on the road.
