The Green Bay Packers shocked the NFL on Thursday when the traded up to select former Utah State standout Jordan Love with the 26th pick of the 2020 NFL draft, which basically means that Aaron Rodgers is expected to mentor him.
But one former player claims that is something he is “miserable” at.
“I can’t think of a more miserable mentor than Aaron Rodgers,” Ryan Clark said moments after the Packers’ pick was announced live on ESPN’s coverage.
It should be noted that Ryan Clark never played on the same team as Rodgers, but his beef with the future Hall of Famer likely stems from Super Bowl XLV when Rodgers found Greg Jennings, who had beaten Clark, for a touchdown.
Clark retold the story about that pass and stated that Rodgers even got a little trash talk in.
“I’ll hate him for the rest of my life,” Clark said. “I hope his thumb and his pointer finger fall off next week and he can’t throw the ball.”
