Just when you thought things couldn’t get any worse for the Denver Broncos, now this.
According to the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson underwent a procedure on his throwing shoulder following Thursday night’s loss to the Indianapolis Colts.
The procedure is intended to reduce the discomfort that Wilson has apparently been feeling his his throwing shoulder — which might help explain his poor play thus far.
Wilson is coming off one of the uglier performances of his career, as his late interception cost his team in a 12-9 overtime loss to the Colts.
Through five starts, Wilson has just four touchdowns and three interceptions. His 59.4 completion percentage would be the lowest mark of his career, as would his 82.8 quarterback rating.
Hopefully this procedure helps him become a competent quarterback again.
