It’s been that type of year for Russell Wilson.
While everyone thought we would finally see Russ “cook” following his move to Denver, that hasn’t been the case. Rather, Wilson has seemingly transformed into one of the most incompetent starting quarterbacks in the NFL under Nathaniel Hackett’s system.
Everyone is waiting for him and the Broncos’ offense to finally break out any day now, but based on this throw before halftime of their game in London against the Jacksonville Jaguars, it doesn’t appear as though today is that day.
I totally understand the notion that there was only three seconds remaining on the clock and they were facing a 4th & 17. So the thought-process here was probably to just throw it high enough to kill the remaining time on the clock…
That being said, could he not at least heave one towards the end zone in the direction of one of his wide receivers? You could even hear what sounds like either Louis Reddick or Dan Orlovsky quietly asking, “What was that?”
Looks like just another errant pass from Mr. Unlimited, fellas.
