Russell Wilson’s terrible play on the field has not only gotten his head coach fired, but his teammates do not seem to like him or his attitude very much.
That’s according to Shannon Sharpe, who couldn’t wait to destroy him on FS1’s “Undisputed” after news came down that the team first-year coach Nathaniel Hackett after a brutal 4-11 start.
According to The NY Post, Shannon Sharpe claims that Russell Wilson’s teammates are “seething” over his “attitude.” He also added that the next head coach to come in needs to take away Russell Wilson’s private office and six parking spots at the facility.
“I don’t know who the head coach is gonna be, but the first thing you do [is say], ‘Russell Wilson, I’m locking this office. You will no longer have an office. All those parking spaces you get the stadium, they’re gone too — because you’re putting yourself in front of the team.’ I said it before, I’ll say it again, and I stand by it: You ticked a lot of people off with your attitude, bro. You can come out here and talk about how we’re a team and I’m good with my teammates, but deep down inside, they’re seething, and I’m gonna leave it at that,” Sharpe said.
What we do not know is if these are normal perks for a star quarterback in the NFL. If so, then this shouldn’t be that big of a deal. If not, it makes sense why the team would be pissed since Wilson has done nothing to prove he deserved the perks nor his big contract after his trade from the Seattle Seahawks.
For his part, Wilson has 12 touchdown passes in his 13 starts, meaning he likely will finish far below his previous single-season low of 20 in 2014. He has also been sacked a league-leading 49 times in those 13 games.

Because of his bad play, Nathaniel Hackett was fired 15 games into his first season as Broncos coach with the team at 4-11 and with the lowest-scoring offense in the league at 15.5 points per game. It was the shortest tenure for any non-interim head coach in franchise history.
Interim coach Jerry Rosburg said Wednesday that Wilson would start the Broncos’ final two games of season. Just maybe the team can enter the offseason on a high note.
