On Wednesday, social media was buzzing after a report emerged suggesting Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson could accept a trade and drop his no-trade clause for several teams.
According to Jordan Schultz, Russell Wilson would “strongly consider” waiving his no-trade clause for the Denver Broncos, New Orleans Saints and New York Giants.
On Thursday, Wilson called the report bogus and said, “it’s a non-story.”
“That’s not in my head right now at all. I didn’t say that. … It’s a non-story,” Wilson said.
Wilson added that his hope is to fulfill his contract with the Seahawks and to finish out his career in Seattle.
It was during the offseason where it appeared Wilson was headed out in a trade when his agent leaked out the list of teams he would be open to playing for, which included the Saints, Bears, Cowboys and Raiders.

The 32-year-old has been playing poorly since off an injury and the offense has been terriblein almost every game.
In 2021, Wilson has appeared in nine games for the Seahawks and completed 67.2 percent of his passes for 2,042 yards, 14 touchdowns and four interceptions.
