Russell Wilson knows just how important the 2023 season will be which could determine how the rest of his career plays out in Denver.
The Broncos are going to need Russell Wilson to be better this season after he posted the worst year of his career in his first campaign with Denver last fall. He was constantly mocked online by fans and by analysts over his poor play. He even got yelled at by a teammate during a game.
This offseason, the Broncos have traded for head coach Sean Payton who they are hoping will bring Wilson back to what he used to be when he played for the Seattle Seahawks.
He has certainly been working out to make sure he looks good.

Wilson posted career-lows in completion percentage (60.5) and touchdown passes (16) last year, and his 11 interceptions were tied for the second-most in a single season in his career.
Wilson was arguably the biggest reason why Denver finished 5-12 after entering the season with playoff and Super Bowl expectations.
2022 is in the rearview mirror and new Broncos offensive coordinator Joe Lombardi is encouraged by what he has seen from Wilson so far this summer.
“I don’t know what’s going to happen, but we’re really happy with where he’s at,” Lombardi said, via the Denver Post.
The last time the Broncos made the postseason was in 2015 when they delivered a win over the Carolina Panthers in Super Bowl 50. Denver hasn’t posted a winning record since 2016 and has reached double-digit losses in five of the last six seasons.
