The offseason was full of a lot of promises from both head coach Nathaniel Hackett and Russell Wilson, especially after the team traded for him and gave up so much. They then signed him to a massive extension.
Everything about this situation was all wrong and every passing week proves that this was one of the worst trade and extension signing in NFL history.
After 12 weeks of complete and utter incompetence offensively, the calls for Nathaniel Hackett to be fired among the fan base have grown louder and many are in full regret that the team went out and ever obtained Russell Wilson. There were rumors that he may have lost the locker room, but now we seem to have the evidence after a teammate yelled in his face during Sunday’s game.
NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported the 34-year-old quarterback “has lost some people” in the locker room.
“One of the things that I’ve consistently heard about it is [first-year Broncos coach] Nathaniel Hackett, for everything that has gone wrong, and everything that people are saying about his job right now, he has not lost that locker room. Russ has lost some people around that team. He has lost some people in that locker room,” Pelissero said Tuesday on “The Insiders.”

Head coach Nathaniel Hackett might end up paying the ultimate price with his job after the season, but the team is stuck with Wilson because of his contract.
Currently, at 3-8, the Broncos are bringing up the rear of the AFC West. Because of that, they had their Dec. 11 matchup against the Chiefs flexed out of the primetime slot on “Sunday Night Football.”
For the year, Wilson has tossed for 2,369 yards, eight touchdowns and five interceptions through 10 games this season. They may not be mathematically eliminated from the playoff race, but this team is playing for nothing more than draft position, and even that won’t help since the Seattle Seahawks own their picks.
