Russell Wilson can’t seem to catch a break these days. And the likes of Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter starring for the Colorado Buffaloes against TCU on Saturday earned him lots of criticism, though he had nothing to do with the game.
The Denver Broncos gave up a lot to get Russell from the Seattle Seahawks ahead of the 2022 season. But the move turned out to be a regrettable one as they ended up going 5-12.
Meanwhile, Shedeur and Travis followed Deion Sanders from Jackson State to Colorado and had memorable debuts vs. the Horned Frogs, firing the Buffaloes to a historic win.
The quarterback passed for 510 yards, making 37 of his 48 attempts for four touchdowns and zero interceptions while Hunter played both at wide receiver and cornerback, making 11 catches for 119 yards on offense, as well as three tackles and an interception on defense.
Fans have taken to social media to suggest that both these kids have done more for Colorado in one game than Wilson has done in a year.

Wilson will hope to have an improved second season in Denver following the team’s hiring of Sean Payton as head coach. He’s never going to live it down if he puts up another forgettable campaign in front of these fans.
