Cam Newton’s future will certainly be a main headline for months to come.
Newton finished the year with a 7-8 record and only threw for 2,657 yards, eight touchdowns and ten interceptions. If there was something positive to take from his season, it’s that he ran the ball 137 times for 592 yards and 12 touchdowns — averaging 4.3 yards per carry.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter believes that Newton could join the Washington Football Team next season on roughly a two-year deal that could produce up to $50 million with incentives.
Please remember this is all opinion based and not facts.
Washington’s head coach is Ron Rivera is close with Cam as he coached him his entire time in Carolina.
Washington released Dwayne Haskins and Alex Smith, although brave, is clearly not the QB of the future at his age.
