Late last month, the Philadelphia Eagles and Dolphins engaged in a blockbuster trade that had the NFC East team trading the No. 6 pick in the 2021 NFL draft along with a 2021 fifth-round pick (No. 156) to the Miami Dolphins for the No. 12 pick, a fourth-round pick (No. 123) and a 2022 first-round pick.
Now, it appears that the Eagles want back at the top of the order.
According to ESPN NFL insider Jeremy Fowler, the Eagles have been calling around about a potential trade into the top 10 in order to move ahead of the hated Dallas Cowboys to select a cornerback before they get a chance to do so.
Both the Eagles and Cowboys were horrific on defense in 2020 and desperately need help at the cornerback position.
Draft projections have Alabama’s Patrick Surtain II and South Carolina’s Jaycee Horn as the only two defensive backs going in the top-10.
Opening night of the draft will kickoff tonight at 8 p.m. ET.
